4 Tips to Lock in Your Scent 🔒
A Guide to Making Your Fragrance Last ALL Day
I always get asked, "how do you make your scent last long?" Long story short...you better lock in that scent!
TIP 1:Â PREP YOUR SKIN
Prepping your skin allows you to create a dreamy scent trail. Scent trails get you noticed when you walk into any room.
TIP 2: MOISTURIZE
Applying body lotion is essential!! If you don't already, start NOW. After your shower, apply body lotion while your skin is still DAMP. Get those elbows while you’re at it! It's a bonus if you grab a body lotion that compliments your fragrances notes. My go to is B&BW's In The Stars + Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. The Vanilla, White Musk, Jasmine combo is *chef's kiss!*
TIP 3: SPRAY ON CLOTHES
Applying your fragrance on your clothes can be tricky but if you spray in the right places, it can make your scent last longer. If you're going to spray perfume on your clothes, make sure the material won't get stained. When spraying on your clothes, just know you're making a long lasting commitment! If you're spraying on a jacket or sweater, be aware that your scent of the day #SOTD last until the following day or more. So if you have commitment issues...stick to spraying perfume on your skin!
TIP 4: SPRAY YOUR PULSE POINTS
The best areas to spray are on your PULSE POINTS! Your pulse points are the warm areas in your body that help your scent really shine. The heat allows your fragrance to settle on your skin and have its best performance. Remember to tap, tap, tap your wrists! The warmer your skin, the longer projectivity! Some popular pulse points are:
- neck
- chest
- wrists
- inside elbows
- behind the knees*
- behind ears
- ankles*
*The best pulse points when wearing dresses or shorts. Thank me later!
